Open Enrollment



First Round Open Enrollment: November 1, 2021 - December 1, 2021

First Round Open Enrollment closes on December 1st at 4:00pm. Schools will extend offers of open enrollment based on space availability by December 7th. Parents can see offers in the EngagED Parent Portal on December 10th at 8:00 am and have until December 17th at 4:00 pm, to log back in and accept any open enrollment offers. In the event you did not receive any offers during First Round, you will remain on a waitlist for Second Round of Open Enrollment, which opens on January 24th at 8:00 am.

Second Round Open Enrollment: January 22, 2021 - August 2, 2021
Second Round Open Enrollment closes on August 2, 2022 at 4:00 pm.  If you were put on the waitlist during the first round, you will still be on that list for the second round. Schools will ONLY reach out to you when and if a spot becomes available.

  • If you are open enrolled at a neighborhood school or attend a charter but would like to return to the neighborhood school associated with your address for the next school year you must file an intent to return form by January 5th.
  • If you are moving within the district but would like to remain at your current school, you may do so by filing an intent to remain form.

Complaints regarding violations of Title VI, (race, national origin), Title IX (sex, gender), Section 504/ADA (handicap or disability), may be filed directly with the Office for Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Education, 1244 North Speer Blvd., Suite 310, Denver, CO 80204. Complaints regarding violations of Title VII (employment) and the ADEA (prohibiting age discrimination in employment) may be filed directly with the Federal Office of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 303 E. 17th Ave., Suite 510, Denver, CO 80202, or the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, 1560 Broadway, Suite 1050, Denver, CO 80202.
