Weather Delays:
When district schools are placed on a 90 minute delayed schedule, DCSD will cancel morning preschool programs. If the delay is not district-wide, only preschool sessions in the affected region(s) will be canceled. PM class should not be affected
by the delayed schedule.

The District will use the following methods to notify parents about weather-related school schedule changes:
  • Local television and radio broadcasts starting at 5:00 a.m.
  • District website: www.dcsdk12.org for the most current and accurate weather closure information. Information will be updated by 4:00 a.m.
  • Weather hotline: 303-387-SNOW (7669). Closure and delay information will be updated by 4 a.m.

Reminder please have your child:
  • Bring in a backpack daily with the following:  a change of clothes (including socks and underwear), a jacket or coat, a healthy, nut free/peanut free snack each day for their child in a small see through container or its original packaging, a water bottle and 2-4 diapers and wipes if needed.
  • Please help your child practice washing their hands often and keeping fingers out of their mouths and noses.
  • Remember to have your child wear close toed shoes and sunscreen daily.
  • They are allowed to bring a hat and sunglasses to wear on the playground if they would like to.  We try to go outside as often as possible.
